Protect Your Pure&Sweet Account — MFA in 3 Minutes

As many as 49% of data breaches involve stolen login credentials. One extra step at login — the kind you already know from your banking app — drastically reduces the risk of an unauthorised person accessing your orders and delivery address. Spend 3 minutes on it — and sleep soundly.

Why a Password Alone Is No Longer Enough

As many as 49% of data breaches stem from stolen passwords, and 15 billion stolen login credentials are already circulating on the dark web. Imagine a shop you used once had a data leak. Your password ended up in a cybercriminal database — and now someone is trying to use it to access your Pure&Sweet account.

[1][2]

In Poland, this is not an abstract scenario. The online shops vegehome.pl and polskiekoldry.pl suffered a serious data breach — estimated to have affected as many as 130,000 unique users. The exposed database contained first names, surnames, email addresses, phone numbers, order information, and partial delivery addresses. Worth noting: this particular incident resulted from a vulnerability in an external admin tool, not from a customer account takeover — but stolen password hashes did make it online, and MFA protects you from their use on other services. Situations where users reuse the same password across multiple services are especially dangerous.

[3][4][5][6]

MFA — A Second Lock on the Door to Your Account

MFA is simply a second lock on the door. Even if someone obtains your password, without the second step — an SMS code or confirmation in an app — they cannot get into your account. MFA requires identity verification using two or more different authentication factors before access is granted.

[7]

You already know this from mobile banking. Commonly used methods include authenticator apps, SMS codes, push notifications, security keys, and biometric verification. This is not some complex technology — it is something you use every day.

[8]

MFA drastically reduces risk, but it is not an absolute shield — always check that the page address is really the right one before entering your password. Some MFA methods can still be bypassed through phishing, social engineering, or session hijacking, and attackers can trick users into entering verification codes on fake websites. One simple rule: if you are not logging in to the store and you receive an approval request — reject it and change your password.

[9][10]

Real protection: what the numbers say

According to Microsoft, MFA blocks 99.2% of attacks on accounts. It is not absolute protection — but it is a thick wall that the vast majority of automated attacks will simply not get through.

[11]

Your Pure&Sweet customer account stores your delivery address, order history, and contact details. This is information you would not want to fall into the wrong hands. MFA means that a stolen password alone is not enough to log in — even if it leaked from a completely different service.

[12]

When you know your data is protected by an extra layer of security, shopping is simply more enjoyable — no anxious checking whether someone has ordered something to your address. Users are more willing to use services when they know their data is protected by MFA.
